Green Coffee Bean Extract
Chlorogenic Acid (CGA) is a polyphenol compound in green coffee that is responsible for the all of green coffees health benefits. Green coffee bean extract is the primary natural source of chlorogenic acid. One of the primary benefits of CGA is its ability to inhibit the enzyme alpha-glucosidase, which is responsible for breaking down carbohydrates; essentially it reduces the uptake of carbohydrates and glucose during digestion
Green coffee bean extract has been shown to have anti-diabetic benefits. Studies have shown that consumption of 3 to 4 cups of decaffeinated coffee containing high contents of CGA significantly reduced the risk for T2DM by 30%. Chlorogenic acid (CGA) is considered an insulin sensitizer that potentiates insulin's action similar to the therapeutic action of the diabetic drug Metformin . Clinical trials have also showed that CGA is able to lower the glycemic impact of foods and chronically lower blood glucose levels of Type 2 Diabetics. A 12 week human study showed that CGA led to a 3 times great weight loss than the control group. In animal models, CGA has been shown to suppress body weight gain and visceral fat accumulation.
Green Coffee Bean Extract also increases the activity of AMPK.
Finally, Green Coffee Bean Extract also helps decrease gluconeogenesis, the process of turning non-carbohydrate foods, such as protein, into sugar.
Green Tea Extract
Green tea is made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis L plant, which is rich in polyphenol catechins and caffeine. Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG), which is the most abundant catechin in green tea, has many potential health benefits, including boosting metabolism, fat loss and ability to increase fat oxidation. Catechins have been shown to help reduce food intake, inhibit the main enzymes involved in fat storage and increase fat burning. A 12 week clinical trial in humans showed that stacking green tea high in EGCG content with caffeine for 12 weeks led to significant weight loss and reduction of body fat.
A human trial in Japan resulted in the men in women in the study losing on average 10% body fat mass compared to only 2.2% in the placebo group.
Another 12 week study showed green tea extract to significantly reduced visceral fat in humans.
An impressive study showed that test subjects taking green tea extract lost 7.3 more pounds (3.3 kg) and burned 183 more calories per day after three months than those not taking the extract.
In addition to the fat loss potential of green tea extract, many dieters who supplement with green tea extract have, at least anecdotally noticed a reduction in appetite.
L-tyrosine
L-tyrosine is a naturally occurring form of the amino acid tyrosine that the body uses to make proteins, neurotransmitters, and other important compounds. L-Tyrosine supports brain function. L-Tyrosine is also critical for the normal function of the thyroid gland. L-Tyrosine has been used to support stress reduction and depression by boosting certain neurotransmitters in the brain.
Because L-tyrosine helps your brain create neurotransmitters such as dopamine there may be potential to cause a reduction in appetite may then go down because your body's not looking for food to create dopamine. Foods that are high in protein are also thought to have such a satiating effect. Eating more protein are said to have this effect due to the amino acid tyrosine in the protein rich foods. This high protein intake seen in ketogenic diets and a Protein Sparing Modified fast is one of the reasons for the natural appetite suppressant effect of the diets.
L-tyrosine is often seen in many thermogenic fat burner products and was very popular combining it with Eph, caffeine and aspirin in the original "ECA" stack of the 1990's.
In theory, adding it in supplemental form could further improve the thermogenic effect of the ECA stack. In animal models, injection of Eph and L-tyrosine improves the thermogenic effect over ephedrine alone. As per Lyle McDonald (CSCS and author of The Ketogenic Diet: A Complete Guide for the Dieter and Practitioner), anecdotally most individuals report a greater ‘kick’ from a thermogenic fat burning stack when L-tyrosine is added.
Olive Leaf Extract
Olive Leaf Extract, or more so its active ingredient Oleuropein is a common ingredient found in many thermogenic "fat burners" and glucose disposal supplements. Oleuropein has been shown to improve insulin sensitivity, protect against LDL cholesterol oxidation, and inhibit peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma.[36,37]. PPAR inhibition has been shown to potentially inhibit new fat cell formation. In addition, olive leaf extract has shown to reduce the production of fat cells by activating Adenosine Monophosphate-Activated Protein Kinase (AMPK). Activating AMPK is a critical part of inhibiting adipogenesis, which is the formation of adipocytes (fat cells). (Activating AMPK is also one of the many things our product Glucosatrol does.)

Extended life span by as much as 20-30% in animals,
Inhibiting excess fat synthesis and increased burning of stored fat

Olive leaf extracts have also been shown to be potent thyroid hormone boosters. This increase in thyroid levels then leads to increased energy expenditure and may help combat obesity, diabetes, and metabolic disorder. (38). In ahead-to-head study done in diabetic rats comparing either olive leaf extract or glyburide (Diabeta(®)), a common glucose-lowering drug, it was shown that the anti-diabetic effects of olive leaf extract proved superior to those of the drug.
Coleus forskohlii
Coleus forskohlii is an herb historically used in Ayurvedic medicine. The main bioactive ingredient in Coleus forskohlii is called Forskolin activates the cellular messenger cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP).
Elevated cAMP levels are associated with increased rates of fat loss as well as improves ageing-related phenotypes by increasing the protein level of Sirtuins, which prevent metabolic disorders to mimic the effect of calorie restriction. Stacking Forskohlin with with other fat burning compounds can increase the overall effectiveness. Forskolin has also been shown to enhance thyroid activity, increase the burning of calories and decreases calories stored as fat.

Synephrine, also known as bitter orange extract, is a naturally occurring alkaloid that has a similar structure to ephedrine but more safely tolerated compared to ephedrine. Synephrine is a stimulant that boosts metabolism and acts as both a Beta-2 and Beta-3 adrenergic receptor agonist helping free up stored fatty acids by a process called lipolysis.
